CK-Series to Sharp UP-600/700 Special Instructions

Please set the following parameters on the Cash Register:

STEP 1:

• SRV mode
  • 2 SETTINGS
    • 01 DEVICE CONFIG
      • 18 SCALE
        • CHANNEL#  =  2  (For COM2 RJ-45 port)
        • CHANNEL#  =  1  (For COM1 9 Pin port)

NOTE:  Make sure that the CHANNEL# setting you select for the scale does not conflict with any other CHANNEL# setting for any other device.  Scale is usually set for CHANNEL# 2 because the scanner is usually plugged into CHANNEL# 1.

STEP 2:

• SRV mode
  • 2 SETTINGS
    • 02 SYSTEM PRESET
      • SRV#903 = 8000
      • SRV#906 = 0031

NOTE:  In SRV#903 the only values that affect the scale function are the second and third digits (from left-to-right.)  In SRV#906 the only value that affects the scale function is the last digit (rightmost) which must be a non-zero odd value in order for the scale to work.

STEP 3:

You must now program a SCALE key and/or assign some of your Departments and/or PLUs to be scalable.  Please refer to your Sharp manuals for these procedures.

STEP 4:

Set the scale to Type Toledo interface and connect the cable between the scale and cash register.  For connection to COM2 on register use cable 600-01111-02003M; for connection to COM1 on register use cable 600-00511-02003M.
